ESPN insider shares Mike McDaniel’s resume from 2005 with lofty goal

The Miami Dolphins hired San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel to be their 11th full-time coach in team history.

McDaniel was only the 49ers offensive coordinator for one year, but he has been in football since 2005 when he was brought on to Mike Shanahan’s Denver Broncos staff as an intern at 22 years old. Since then, McDaniel has spent time with Houston, Washington, Cleveland, and Atlanta in the NFL and a quick stint with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League.

After the announcement was made that he would be joining the Dolphins, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington shared the resume he once received from McDaniel when he was trying to get his foot in the door in the NFL.

The steps for McDaniel to hit his career objective of becoming a “Hall of Fame NFL Head Coach” continue with taking this job. It will depend on him, his staff, the front office, and the players around him if he reaches that goal.
