A Kylie Minogue superfan received a personalised voice message from his idol a week before he died at the age of 91.
Harry Vincent, a dad of four and grandad of 17, spent his life helping others – running 100 marathons by the age of age 65 to raise cash for charities in his hometown Barrow, Cumbria.
His family sent a message to Kylie’s Instagram page not expecting a reply.
But in a voice note, Kylie said: “I wanted to send you lots and lots and lots of love. I also want to thank you for many years of support. I can’t tell you how much joy that brings to me.”
His granddaughter Natalie Beddoes said: “We were so chuffed – she even blew a kiss at the end. He loved parties and always used to request Kylie.
“He used to joke he would trade my nanna in for Kylie.”
Kylie messaged the family after his death on March 17, saying: “How lucky you are to have had each other and that Harry was surrounded by all your love.”
Harry’s funeral is on Friday.
