Escape to the Country's Jonnie Irwin fans say he looks 'amazing' after new update

Fans of Escape to the Country’s Jonnie Irwin said he looked ‘amazing’ in a new update on his Instagram page. The popular TV presenter is sadly battling terminal cancer and this week revealed a new partner video he has made about Mayfair Worktops.

In the video Jonnie gives his opinion on kitchen upgrades - and fans were delighted to see how well he looked. HollandSinaus said: ”Looking good Mr Irwin.” Sandiewings said: “I’d say you’re my favourite presenter actually Jonnie! You have a very genuine way with you…”

Julesh407 said: “Ever the professional, Jonnie. Fab to see you in your natural environment. Just sorry I’m not in the market for a new worktop.” And veronicadif added: “You look marvellous, dahling! And sound strong.” ClairenClive said: "You look amazing Jonnie - love to you and your family."

It is not known when the video was filmed. Jonnie has been battling the killer disease which spread from his lungs to his brain. The 49-year-old, originally from Leicestershire held his 50th birthday party early this year with more than 100 friends and family. Recently he revealed he has been spending some time in a hospice to deal with the pain and he has been renovating a house in the North East so his wife Jessica and three sons will be near her family should the worst happen.

In another post this week Jonnie, who also presented A Place in the Sun, showed he was still highly active, revealing that he was exhausted after a jet washing frenzy. He said: “I went on a jet washing marathon earlier and got stuck in the washing the inside of my wheelie bins. I’m now sat stink and my back is killing me so I thought I’ll have a bath and watch the cricket with your volume down and test match. I’ve made a promise to all stay in the bath. How long is England remain in bat Sound on sky tuned down and @tms turned up. The water had now gone rather cold but I’ll be good for my word. ##binjuice #ashes”

Ian Stead said: “You’re doing amazing mate and I know from personal experience. Keep strong and positive.” Liz Toumbas added: “You’re amazing … bless you and your family.” Jean Monahan was pleased to see Jonnie’s being so active: “Fair play to you Jonnie - you’re always on the go. Good man.”
