KOCHI: A youth who was out on bail in connection with a homicide case was arrested again on Friday after he violated the bail conditions and got involved in more criminal cases.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashik Vettiyadan (24) of Kanjoor. He was an accused in a case registered at Perumbavoor for homicide. He was arrested and he later secured bail. One among the conditions of the bail was not to get involved in other offences.
In violation of the bail conditions, the accused got involved in a narcotics case registered by Kalady police and an assault case registered at Nedumbassery. Soon, police filed a report before the court to cancel his bail as per the directive of district police chief (Ernakulam Rural) K Karthick. Karthick said a list of habitual offenders has been created and police are checking if they are violating the bail conditions in any previous offences.
