Here are your Wednesday evening Manchester City headlines.
Haaland in training
Erling Haaland could be available for Manchester City's Premier League trip to Southampton after returning to training following a groin injury.
Haaland picked up the injury against Burnley last month, and was ruled out of Norway's international fixtures. He missed City training last week, and was unavailable for the Premier League win over Liverpool, with Pep Guardiola saying he felt better but wasn't fit enough to play in the 4-1 win at the Etihad.
Guardiola sounded optimistic that Haaland was nearing a return when speaking after the Liverpool win, and gave his players three days off to prepare for the trip to Southampton and following Champions League clash with Bayern Munich next week.
Now, City have published photos from their first training session back, with Haaland part of the group that began preparations for the journey to St Mary's.
Harwood-Bellis message
Vincent Kompany believes Manchester City loanee Taylor Harwood-Bellis has all the attributes to reach the top, predicting that he will only keep improving after his year at Burnley.
Harwood-Bellis is linked with a number of Premier League clubs after catching the eye at Championship leaders Burnley, following impressive loans at Blackburn and Stoke. He spent time at Anderlecht last season under Kompany between those two spells, with the City legend showing faith in Harwood-Bellis after seeing him come through the ranks at the Etihad.
Assessing Harwood-Bellis' season, Kompany praised the defender's attitude and backed him to become an even better player in the next two years.
“I think Taylor has done exactly what I’ve expected him to do," Kompany told Lancs Live. "I’ve known Taylor since he was a very young footballer before he was even a first-team player, and his one outstanding attribute is his attitude."
