Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland is facing an injury sweat after pulling up during his side's 3-2 win over Hoffenheim.
The 21-year-old netted the opener on Saturday but was left in agony during the second period with a muscle complaint.
And that leaves him fighting to be back ahead of a jam-packed fixture run, after a self-inflicted mine break due to being unceremoniously dumped out of the DFB-Pokal Cup.
Rangers lie in wait with both legs of their Europa League knockout playoff taking place in consecutive weeks on February 17 and 18.
And boss Marco Rose admitted he is now facing the waiting game over his best player.
He said: "He felt something in his adductor. We have to wait and see.
"I can't say anything about Erling yet. We need to examine him first."
Haaland is on the wanted list of some of the world's biggest clubs and has netted an astonishing 80 goals in 79 appearances during his time with Dortmund.
The likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are jockeying for his signature and he is expected to exit the Signal Iduna Park this summer.
