Haaland dismisses debut concerns in message to critics
Erling Haaland says he is not concerned about settling in the Premier League or at Manchester City following his move from Borussia Dortmund.
The £51m signing of Haaland from Borussia Dortmund brought an end to City's two-year search for an elite striker, after they played much of the past two seasons without an out-and-out striker. City fought tooth-and-nail to convince the 22-year-old to join them over Real Madrid; 86 goals scored in 89 games for Dortmund made it no easy task as Haaland became the most sought-after young player in world football.

Haaland made his competitive debut for Pep Guardiola's side in the Community Shield meeting with Liverpool last weekend, but endured a frustrating afternoon as he missed a late sitter as City lost 3-1. There was much fanfare around the player's arrival, understandable given his reputation and the weight of expectation placed upon him.

Aguero tips Alvarez to reach world-class level at City
Sergio Aguero believes that Julian Alvarez will be able to compete at the "best level" for City following his move from Argentina.
Alvarez arrived at City this summer, after the Blues Signed him from River Plate in January for £14.1m but loaned him straight back to the Argentine side. The 22-year-old impressed in City' two pre-season outings and in the Community Shield defeat by Liverpool — during which he scored his first goal for the club — but the young striker still represents something of an unknown quantity for many City fans.
One person who knows just how good Alvarez is though is Aguero, City club legend and their all-time leading goal-scorer. Speaking to Stake.com, the Argentinian explained exactly why his young compatriot will be a success in sky blue, and why fans should all be rather excited.
