Manchester City striker Erling Haaland praised teammate Jack Grealish for his personal performance in the convincing win over Liverpool on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's side thrashed the Merseyside outfit 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium, with Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Illkay Gundogan and Grealish all on the scoresheet for the home side. It was the second time the Blues have defeated Liverpool this season - having beat them in the Carabao Cup in December.
Mohamed Salah gave the away side the lead in the first half, but Alvarez made it 1-1 before the break. The Argentine ace converted from close range after Grealish delivered an inviting cross into the penalty area. The Blues went on to score three times in the second period, with Grealish bagging the final goal of the game to cap off an impressive individual performance.

After the game, Haaland - who missed the clash through injury - took to Instagram to praise the England international, while also expressing his delight at the convincing win. He uploaded of photo of himself and Grealish in the City changing room.
"What a performance from the team and this guy @jackgrealish," wrote the Norwegian ace.
Grealish has now registered four goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Blues this term. The 27-year-old is enjoying one of his best seasons in a City shirt since arriving at the club from Aston Villa in 2021.
Meanwhile, Guardiola said that Haaland was feeling better but was not fit enough to face Liverpool. The 22-year-old had to withdraw from international duty due to suffering from a groin injury. During the break, he visited a City-affiliated hospital in Marbella to have the injury assessed.
