Borussia Dortmund hotshot Erling Haaland has said that he is moving on from comments he made about feeling pressured by the Bundesliga giants.
There is currently plenty of talk regarding his future at the Signal Iduna Park, with a number of clubs around Europe having emerged as contenders for his signature - including Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
Haaland recently made some controversial comments suggesting that Dortmund were forcing him into making a decision.
Speaking in mid-January, he said: “Borussia Dortmund have started to put a lot of pressure on me.
"They want me to decide now. And so… yeah, things will happen now. Even if I only wanted to focus on football and play football.”
Probed further about those comments by Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft and shown on Sky Sports, the 21-year-old has explained why he decided to break his silence on his current situation and hinted that he does not regret making the remarks.
He said: “I think… I don’t really want to say too much about it.
“But I felt it was time for me to say something, a lot of others were speaking, so that was it. And now I really don’t want to say too much more about it.
"I think what has been said, has been said and we move on.”
Haaland has certainly continued his hot form this season in front of goal.
The striker has 23 goals to his name in just 20 appearances in all competitions thus far this season, with Real Madrid also thought to be interested in making a move for him.
He has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal with Dortmund, having originally been signed for a reported £17m from Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg.
Despite his stunning form, Haaland has sent a message to any interested party that he believes he could be even better in the future.
He continued: “I think I can improve everything.
“If you say I’m good at finishing, I can improve my finishing a lot. And yeah everything, I can become faster so I can improve that.
“I can become stronger so I can improve that.”
