Erik ten Hag told who Man United should sign this summer in major Tottenham transfer worry

Harry Kane could have joined the blue side of Manchester last summer, but despite City's interest, Tottenham held firm and reiterated that their star man wasn't for sale. Now, it's City's rivals, Manchester United, who are being urged to sign Kane.

The England international has 20 months remaining on his contract in north London and it remains to be seen whether he extends his stay at his boyhood club beyond that point. He's been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but talked down the possibility of a move to the Bundesliga giants earlier this week.

“For sure Bayern are a top, top club, but all my concentration is on Tottenham," he said. Turning 30 next summer, it could be Kane's last chance to secure a move to one of Europe's elite sides.

Right now, United aren't one of Europe's elite sides - they finished a whole 13 points below Spurs last season - but the Red Devils are still being encouraged to launch a move for Kane. Louis Saha - formerly of both United and Spurs - believes Kane would 'shine' at Old Trafford.

“Of course Kane would be a great signing for United,” star Saha told Compare.bet. ”He could go anywhere in the world and he would shine.

“I would be very happy with him at United, because United need the kind of composure Kane has up front.”

Kane and Tottenham face United at Old Trafford on Wednesday, October 19 in a battle between two top four contenders.
