Here are your latest Manchester United evening headlines on Monday, December 26.
United provide update on defenders
Erik ten Hag says that he's expecting Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane back at Manchester United soon while Harry Maguire returned to training on Friday.
The club captain missed the 2-0 League Cup victory over Burnley due to illness with Martinez and Varane given an extra week's rest after their World Cup final exploits. Ten Hag told a press conference on Friday that the former was "still celebrating in Buenos Aires" following Argentina's triumph.

Frenchman Varane - who almost missed the Qatar showcase due to a knee injury - was helped off the pitch during extra-time in the final after going down. The Manchester Evening News understands that his exit was nothing more sinister and he has no injury concern.
Leao responds to transfer speculation
Rafael Leao says he's 100 per cent focused on AC Milan despite transfer links to Manchester United.
Leao has contributed seven goals and nine assists in 20 appearances for Milan this season and he attracted interest at the World Cup for his performances for Portugal in Qatar, where he scored two goals despite not making a single start throughout the tournament.
The 23-year-old is predominantly a left winger, but he can play down the middle and he's been linked with a move to Old Trafford, although it's also understood AC Milan value Leao at €100million and that United are yet to register concrete interest - despite Erik ten Hag wanting a new forward.
