Ten Hag outlines his transfer plan
Erik ten Hag suggested that Manchester United are open to strengthening their squad during the January window as he prepares for the September international break.
Ten Hag is due to attend meetings on transfer plans for next year and confirmed United would use the pause in the club calendar to address their structure.
United play 13 times in 42 days, starting with the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium on October 2, before the season is suspended for the impending and unique World Cup finals in Qatar.
Fifteen players are away on international duty later this month, but United at least have the benefit of playing City on a Sunday after the September internationals.

Mourinho equals European record
Jose Mourinho equalled legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's record for the most victories in European matches since 1992 when Roma defeated HJK on Thursday night.
The Italian giants secured a 3-0 win over the Finnish outfit in the Europa League, thanks to goals from Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Andrea Belotti.
It was an important win for Mourinho's men after the Serie A team suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat to Ludogorets in their first European match of the new campaign.
