Ten Hag loses cool as Ajax slip up
It won’t be too long before Erik ten Hag is settling in for what is set to be a huge summer at Old Trafford. Before he officially becomes United’s new manager though, he still has some work to do at Ajax.
The Dutch giants had the chance to take a huge step towards another Eredivisie title as they took on AZ Alkmaar on Sunday. Their celebrations will have to wait a little longer though, having had to rely on Edson Alvarez’s 86th-minute equaliser to rescue a point for them.

And things got a little heated for Ten Hag as the incoming United boss lost his cool with the fourth official on the touchline. The 52-year-old was seen snapping at him when making a point about some poor decisions, although Ten Hag was playing it cool as he reflected on his side’s draw afterwards.
Defensive stat shows remarkable difference with Ferguson era
You don’t have to be a United fan to know things have been on a steady decline since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013. Just three trophies have been won since 2013, and no silverware has been lifted since 2017.
Recent years have seen the Reds accumulate unwanted records, culminating in their most recent humiliation at the hands of Brighton on Saturday. With their 4-0 defeat on the south coast, this United side are now set for their lowest points tally in the Premier League.
And the embarrassments keep coming for the current crop. Yet another heavy defeat presented a damning stat for United compared to their days under Ferguson’s tutelage.
