Erik ten Hag watched his players throw away two points after claiming they made it "easy" for Tottenham on Thursday.
Manchester United blew a two-goal lead as Son Heung-min grabbed a late leveller as the visitors ran out of steam. Goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford gave Ten Hag's side their advantage, with Pedro Porro's strike triggering Tottenham's comeback.
United boss Ten Hag said: "Of course when you are 2-0 up you are a little bit disappointed when you draw, that's quite obvious but we have to take that. We had chances at 2-1 to get to 3-1 which we didn't and then we conceded. But after this week, 2-2 is a good draw.
"You have to manage the game, keep the ball. We gave away so many easy balls today. We had very good defensive organisation which we don't always have.
"But with their goals, it was quite obvious. We didn't block the crosses much. You have to be proactive there. We have come out to block the shot, with the second long ball we didn't squeeze out.
"It was so easy for them, they kept coming and it was so easy to score a goal then. The goals we conceded were too easy and we could have avoided them."

United midfielder Cristian Eriksen added: "There's still a few games to go. We need to keep going and get the belief back to finish it off. We need to get it over the line."
The result leaves United fourth in the table, six points ahead of Tottenham in fifth and Aston Villa in sixth. Both Spurs and Villa have played two games more than Ten Hag's side.
Tottenham caretaker boss Ryan Mason praised his players for their second half fight back as they recovered from another turbulent week to salvage a point.
Mason said: "I’m pleased with the reaction, in the second half we were outstanding, the character we showed after Sunday and going 2-0 down at half-time. I’m very happy and I hope our fans can feel we were a team, we were together and ran and fought for each other. In the second half we could have scored a lot more.
"I’ve said it to the boys in there, I’ve heard a lot about a lack of character but I know I have got men in there that when they pull together as a team are very very strong. That is my job to get inside them and inspire them so every time we go onto the football pitch we act as a team.
"One of the key things is being together, a team. You can win or lose but the most important thing is being united, as a team in every moment and my take away is that I have a team that is willing to fight."
