Erik ten Hag has already done what Gary Neville asked of the new Manchester United boss

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag appears to have acted on a defensive warning from Gary Neville.

With preparations for his first season as boss having started, Ten Hag welcomed his non-internationals back to Carrington on Monday and has since made his mark in the transfer market. Agreements in principle to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong and Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia have been reached.

United have been tracking De Jong for several weeks. However, the pursuit of Malacia went slightly under the radar as the left-back prepares to arrive in a €15million deal.
