Erik ten Hag changes teams like Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho at his best.
That's according to former goalkeeper Sander Westerveld, who still harbours doubts as to whether Ten Hag can achieve success at Manchester United due to the problems at Old Trafford but believes he is their best option for a new manager.
United are closing in on appointing Ajax boss Ten Hag as their new permanent manager to finally replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following his sacking in November and to take over the reins from interim boss Ralf Rangnick. MEN Sport understands that the club are finalising the process of appointing the 52-year-old and that a deal is 'basically done.'

United are in dire need of a revolution after yet another dreadful season and former Liverpool man Westerveld believes Ten Hag can have a transformative effect.
"Well I'm not sure," the Dutchman told Sky Sports News when asked if he would be the right fit for United. "He is a fit for Man United and he will be the perfect coach for Man United because he is a quality coach.
"He is a different coach, he's not a coach that coaches, he's a coach that changes teams, like Klopp and Guardiola, and even Mourinho at his best time. So he will definitely change Man United.
"The only thing is it's a difficult team at the moment, it's a difficult club to manage at the moment. So hopefully he gets the time and if he gets the time and they give him the time, then he will be I think at the moment the best option for Man United.
"But he still lacks a little bit of experience, he's never coached in the top leagues. But hopefully he does well for Man United."
