Epson are best known for their printers and scanners, but over the years the tech giants have branched out and developed different devices.
Amongst Epson’s wide range of products are their projectors and leading the pack is the EH-TW6250.
The EH-TW6250 is a 4K UHD projector that looks to be a premium alternative for gaming, streaming, and watching movies. It is an upgraded version of the 6150 model with the most notable difference being Android TV.
It’s a medium size projector measuring 33 x 27.5 x 13.1 cm and weighing 4.1kg. It’s slightly smaller than other 4K UHD projectors, but this makes it much more versatile as it can also be transported very easily.
The lens is encased within the projector with the zoom and focus sliders situated at the top of the device. This is a nice touch as it will keep the lens better protected from dust or any unwanted accidents.
The built-in speakers are located at the side of the device and the rear panel is home to the projector’s input connections.
The projector also includes a screw stand that allows it to be angled in different positions. It was very stable at all times during use and the extra stand was very useful during setup.
The EH-TW6250 has a well-thought-out design that allows it to be used in several different scenarios.
Setting up the projector is very simple as the accessible controls allow users to configure a great image with ease.
The lens shift, zoom, and keystone correction have been designed to be user-friendly allowing users to easily find a distortion-free image that suits them.
The EH-TW6250 uses 3LCD Technology with a throw ratio of 1.32 - 2.15:1 and Epson have stated that the device can project a screen size of 500”.
I found it interesting that Epson has gone with a 3LCD system even though DLP has become the standard for 4K projectors.
That being said I was impressed with the image quality which was consistently clear with nice colour saturation and nice black tones, especially when streaming in 4K.
I found that the optimum resolution was 120”, however during evening use the project looked great when I tested it at 150”. I was only able to test up to 200” and managed to maintain a clear image but there was a noticeable drop in contrast and sharpness.
The EH-TW6250 is a powerful device packing a bulb of 2,800 lumens with a life expectancy of 10,000 hours.
The projector comes with a native 4K PRO-UHD resolution and supports HDR 10. It boasts astounding detail and clarity that’s great to watch from a wide range of sources.
One of the biggest features is the Game mode which delivers great low latency, dropping input lag to 20ms. This is great for a projector of this price range, ensuring gamers won’t be at a disadvantage during play.
The EH-TW6250 comes with different picture modes including Dynamic, Natural, Cinema, and Vivid. These modes can’t be customised but there is a noticeable difference between them, I found myself drawn to the Dynamic and Cinema modes as they allowed warmer visuals.
The projector includes a 10w speaker that produces admirable audio, however, I would still opt to use an external speaker.
The projector runs on Android TV 10 which grants access to various apps such as Amazon Prime, Disney Plus Netflix, and more which all work as they would on a TV.
The EH-TW6250 has a few connection ports which include two HDMI, a micro USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack, which is a lot less compared to other projectors in its price range.

Epson’s EH-TW6250 is a great projector that’s well-suited for a plethora of different scenarios like watching a movie with the family or playing games. It is a little pricey, and lacks a wide choice of input connections but makes up for it with built-in speakers, stands, and a lightweight design.
