With the warm weather approaching for the summer and the growing need to get outdoors and reconnect with nature, sometimes the same old green spaces in the city just won't cut it.
Though getting out for some Munro bagging can seem like fun for many, it's not always the easiest thing to do if you've never done it.
One far more accessible (but still challenging) hike that's not far from Glasgow is Conic Hill.
This fun walk lies close to the picturesque village of Balmaha and is easily accessible by car with multiple parking spots and plenty of amenities nearby.

The short hill walk (2-3 hours) is well marked, easy to access with solid trails to follow and at the peak offers truly rewarding views over Loch Lomond and its many islands.
Not only that but at the very bottom of the hill following your ascent, you'll find a cracking wee country pub known as the Oaktree Inn, an inn, restaurant, cafe and village shop all rolled into one.
Enjoy a refuelling in its outdoor dining spot on warm days or head indoors to the pub itself. Even better you can grab a wee ice cream too.
