Sinn Fein TD Eoin O Broin has praised the staff at Beaumont Hospital after he was admitted to the stroke ward.
The 50-year-old Dubliner was admitted to A&E on Wednesday and subsequently kept at the hospital for two nights.
Mr O Broin tweeted his thanks to the staff at the hospital, calling them the "real patriots". He wrote: “Huge thanks to @Beaumont_Dublin staff. A day in A&E, 2 in the stroke ward. All good.

“Doctors, nurses, care assistants, porters & cleaners. From Ireland, Africa, India, Philippines, America’s & EU. Treating sick & scared patients with care & compassion. These are the real patriots.”
The Dublin Mid West TD began his political career back in 2001 when he was elected to Belfast City Council. He became a member of South Dublin County Council in 2013 and was elected to the Dail in 2016.
