Enzo Maresca drops fresh transfer hint after Chelsea sign Joao Felix

Enzo Maresca says Chelsea could still be active in the transfer market.

The Blues had another busy day of activity on Wednesday, selling Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid for around £33m, while signing Joao Felix from the Spanish giants for £42m.

Bashir Humphreys joined Burnley on loan too and Armando Broja is closing in on a loan switch to Ipswich.

It has been another frantic summer of transfer business at Stamford Bridge, to the extent where pundits such as Jamie Carragher has urged players to stop signing for the club.

Chelsea have signed ten players and retain an interest in Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, who has asked to leave Napoli.

A host of players could leave the club, too. Raheem Sterling is open to a permanent exit, while Napoli are keen on Romelu Lukaku.

Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa Conference League first leg play-off against Swiss side Servette, Maresca said: “As I said before, there is still 10 days.

“Unfortunately, as I said, there is still 10 days and anything can happen. For us, in terms of selling players and also bringing players. We’ll see."
