The 2023 NFL draft is a little over a week away, and Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson plans to continuing visiting teams ahead of the big event.
The Gators standout is set to visit the Titans, Falcons and Ravens this week, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Tennessee is first on his list, as he’s scheduled to visit there Monday. The Titans, who hold the No. 11 draft pick, currently have Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis in their quarterback room. Longtime starter Tannehill went 6–6 as a starter last season, while Willis only started one game during his rookie season, which resulted in a loss. The Titans have continued to show interest in drafting a quarterback this year.
As for the Falcons, they lost last year’s starter, Marcus Mariota, to the Eagles, which presumably makes Desmond Ridder the starting position for now. Atlanta also signed former Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke to a two-year deal. Falcons coach Arthur Smith previously sounded confident in Ridder’s chances of starting this season, but the Falcons, who pick eighth, apparently have interest in Richardson as well.
The Ravens have been at the forefront of quarterback news this offseason, with the status of Lamar Jackson up in the air after he requested a trade last month. He also received a non-exclusive franchise tag in March, which he has yet to sign. With Jackson’s uncertainty looming over the team, the Ravens could consider drafting a quarterback at the No. 22 spot.
Previously, Richardson met with the Panthers, Texans, Colts and Raiders.
Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame’s most recent mock draft has the Colts selecting Richardson with the fourth pick.
