England World Cup winner George Cohen has died aged 83.
Cohen was part of the England team to win the World Cup back in 1966 and news broke on Friday morning of his passing.
Cohen's former club Fulham announced the sad news on Friday.
In a statement, it reads: "Everyone at Fulham Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our greatest ever players – and gentlemen – George Cohen MBE.
Born in 1939, Cohen was a one club man with Fulham and played for the side some 459 times between 1956 and 1969.
Cohen scored six league goals and started the World Cup final against West Germany in 1966.
The right back played 37 times for his country and played every minute of their 1966 winning campaign.
Cohen served as vice captain for the campaign and retired from football in 1969.
