England starting line-up for Mexico clash confirmed as Tuchel makes big right-back call

  • Thomas Tuchel has named his England starting line-up to face Mexico in their World Cup last-16 clash at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium.
  • England are looking to book their place in the quarter-finals against Norway, but must first get past a Mexico side that is yet to concede a goal in the World Cup.
  • With Reece James still yet to fully recover from his hamstring injury and Djed Spence not fully fit either, Tuchel has opted to play Jarell Quansah at right-back.
  • The England boss has also given Bukayo Saka the nod over Noni Madueke on the right wing, while Anthony Gordon replaces Marcus Rashford after registering two assists against DR Congo last time out.
