England starting line-up for Ghana clash confirmed as Jude Bellingham makes history

  • Thomas Tuchel has named his starting line-up for England’s World Cup clash with Ghana in Boston.
  • Tuchel has made two changes from the team that started England’s 4-2 win over Croatia, with Djed Spence and Marc Guehi replacing Nico O’Reilly and John Stones in defence.
  • Jude Bellingham retains his place in the starting XI and has made history by becoming the youngest England player to reach 50 caps at 22 years and 359 days, breaking the previous record set by Wayne Rooney (23 years and 159 days) in April 2009.
  • Tuchel has resisted the temptation to change his wingers, with Noni Madueke and Anthony Gordon getting the nod over Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford.
