Wales' Six Nations clash with England was stopped for 15 minutes after England full-back Abby Dow suffered a serious-looking injury at Kingsholm.
The 24-year-old looked in serious pain as she went down clutching her leg after being caught in a tackle deep in Wales' 22, with her screams being picked up by the microphones around the stadium. It took around 15 minutes for Dow to depart the pitch on a stretcher, with the Wasps Ladies star receiving oxygen as she was carried off to a warm ovation from the crowd.
Given the time it took to treat Dow, both sets of players were forced to go through several warm-ups ahead of the action resuming.
Having won the opening two matches of the tournament, Wales had started the match against the world's best impressively, with the game being scoreless at the time of Dow's injury after 14 minutes.
However, moments after the restart, England did forge ahead through Lark Davies' try. There was another brief delay following that score as the referee sought out medics on the sideline as they were all with Dow, with the match unable to resume without some medical presence pitchside.
