After their UEFA Women's Euro 2022 victory, England's women have written a letter to prime ministerial candidates Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak asking for change in order to ensure continued success.
The letter raises the fact that only 63% of girls are currently given access to a football education in PE lessons and asks that girls are given at least two hrs per week in PE, with football as part of the curriculum. They also ask for more training for female PE teachers to become role models for young girls.
Truss, who is currently the favourite to win the Conservative leadership ballot on September 5 to become the next Prime Minister, was in attendance as the government's representative at Wembley on Sunday.
