Maya Jama fans have been marvelling over her latest Instagram post showing her dressed in a glamorous white gown. The Bristolian TV presenter posted on the social media platform yesterday evening and some over-excited followers thought at first glance that she was wearing a wedding dress.
The white gown caught the attention of thousands of fans who loved the design, and Maya responded to confirm that it was from an Australian fashion brand called Zimmermann. It has been a month since she appeared to confirm her engagement to NBA star Ben Simmons, and many fans were left questioning if they had already tied the knot.
"I literally thought you just got married" commented one shocked fan, while another curious viewer questioned: "Married???" However, Maya swiftly responded and shut down the rumours by saying she was in fact attending the birthday party of Edward Enninful, the editor-in-chief of British Vogue.

Other users loved her outfit, with @t6a62hg7 saying it's "beautiful" while @whitb_x added: "This dress - stunning!!" Addressing others who spotted an unusual accessory in the photo, Maya added in the comments section: "& yes that is a lighter in my cleavage, no purse ting."
The 27-year-old, who moved to London from Bristol before she turned 17 to pursue her career, spent Christmas and New Year with her fiancé, basketball player Ben Simmons, in the States. It was there that she was pictured in January with what looked like a huge diamond engagement ring on her finger.
On Valentine's Day Maya shared a photo of a black velvet box with a gold chain inside, complete with an infinity sign pendant, with the date '12.18.21' on it. She posted a diamond ring emoji, seemingly confirming to fans that she said 'yes' on December 18.
In two of the photos shared yesterday (March 12) she also flashed the ring, much to fans' excitement. One commented: "Nice ring you've got there @mayajama when do we all need to buy a hat?"
