A passenger was forced to run alongside a moving London Overground when their hand got stuck in the doors at Enfield Town station - and was then dragged by the train after falling over.
The passenger put their hand between the doors as they closed on July 17 but the driver did not notice and started to drive forward with the customer’s hand still trapped.
For around 60m, the passenger was forced to run alongside the moving train - crying for help as they began to run out of platform.
Eventually the customer lost their footing and fell over, being dragged forward.
The train had reached around 11mph when the driver was alerted and stopped the train, releasing the doors to free the passenger.
They sustained minor physical injuries and psychological distress from the accident, the Rail Accident Investigation Branch said in its report on Friday.
A statement added: “We have undertaken a preliminary examination into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“Having assessed the evidence which has been gathered to date, we have decided to publish a safety digest.”
The age and gender of the passenger have not been listed.
