Employers find out about the Real Living Wage in Wales

Organisations and accredited Living Wage Employers were able to find out about the Real Living Wage in Wales and the role of the regional Living Wage Steering Group. Those who attended were able to join those group members and other organisations across the region to discuss the focus for the next period which included agriculture, food, tourism, retail and hospitality.

Established in January 2022, the Living Wage Steering Group for Mid & West Wales is continuing to work to increase the number of workers paid the real Living Wage across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Powys, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. The Steering Group is currently putting together an action plan to be officially recognised by the Living Wage Foundation as Wales’ first Living Wage Region, following the success of Cardiff as a Living Wage City.

Members of the group include Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales, Burns Pet Nutrition, University of Wales Trinity St David, Swansea MAD, West Wales Holiday Cottages, TeTrimTeas and Citizens Advice Swansea.
