Rochelle Humes has emotionally shared the permanent tribute she has made to her late friend in a moving message. The former The Saturdays singer showcased her heartfelt tattoo tribute to her late friend, who she affectionately called Ebby, in a social media post.
On what would have been her friend's birthday, Rochelle took to her Instagram Story to show off her new ink which appears to sit across her ribs. The TV presenter poignantly wrote: “Happy Birthday to our angel in the sky, so lucky that you were ours."
She added: "Always Ebby," alongside a beautiful black and white photo of the pair. Rochelle then shared a video of the pair once sharing an embrace as they sipped on cocktails, writing: "I hope you're having a Lychee Martini."
The 34-year-old then finished her string of Story posts by sharing a picture of her new tattoo, which featured the words 'Always Ebby' in a simple script, alongside the outline of a heart.
Rochelle hasn't spoken publicly about her loss but back in January 2022, she did allude to 'losing a loved one' in a New Year's post. She appeared to be trying to come to terms with her grief while on holiday with her family, including her husband Marvin Humes and their three children - Alaia-Mai, Valentina, and Blake.
"Thank you for all of your messages, I know I've been quiet," Rochelle penned at the time alongside a string of idyllic holiday snaps. "Losing a loved one is never easy, so I'm trying to find my feet whilst holding my little family close and making some more memories.
"Although the world keeps turning and the sun comes up each day. Life has never been the same, since you were called away. You were such a special person, so gentle, good and kind and have left the sweetest memories and thoughts of you behind.
"I only wish there was a way, that I could see you one more time, to thank you for the joy you bought, into this life of mine." She then finished the tribute with a photo commemorating lost loved ones, which read: "We love them, we miss them, we grieve them. And so we live our lives to make them proud."
