Eagle-eyed Emmerdale viewers have spotted some telling signs that a new storyline is about to unfold on our screens.
At the moment, the villagers are busy dealing with court cases, unmeasurable amounts of grief after losing loved ones and a 10-year-old suspected killer on the run. During the latest episode, five teenagers appeared in court over the attack on Nicola King.
Nicola was supported by her sister Bernice Blackstock and friend Laurel Thomas during the hearing. However, viewers noticed Bernice was not her usual self.

On top of feeling extremely hot - which she tried to counter by using a fan - Bernice was also quite thirsty and had to run to the bathroom quite frequently. Viewers now suspect the character is about to embark on a new storyline.
Taking to Twitter, they shared their theories. Roberto wrote: "Has Bernice got hot flushes again?"
To which one viewer replied: "I've got hot flushes must be hitting the menopause too! (as I've said elsewhere I'm on good painkillers haha)."
One fan asked: "Is Bernice going through the change?"
@domaine_harry wondered: "What's with Bernice? Is she going through the menopause?" Another Emmerdale fan replied: "Most probably… everyone else on ITV seems to be."
And Chris P commented: "If they're gonna take Bernice on the menopause road you'd hope they'd do it right but given their record lately."

- difficulty sleeping, which may be a result of night sweats and make you feel tired and irritable during the day
- palpitations, when your heartbeats suddenly become more noticeable
- headaches and migraines that are worse than usual
- muscle aches and joint pains
- changed body shape and weight gain
- skin changes including dry and itchy skin
- reduced sex drive
- vaginal dryness and pain, itching or discomfort during sex
- recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
