Emmerdale viewers slam 'unworthy' episode and demand schedule change

Emmerdale fans criticised the latest episode and said it was not "worthy" of being broadcast.

During tonight's episode, Bernice Blackstock continues to plan the grand reopening of her newly acquired B&B while Bear Wolf took son Paddy Kirk on a blind date. Bear had met two women while out doing deliveries and thought one of them might bring some "spark" back into Paddy's love life.

The arrival of new character Carol was announced by Mandy Dingle actress Lisa Riley last week. Played by Sally Bankes, the actress is known for her roles in Little Britain and Coronation Street.

Meanwhile, Ethan Anderson tried to help Marcus Dean whose boss Greg sexually harassed him. Ethan However, Greg is now counter-complaining and insists Marcus came onto him.

Ethan was also told to drop the investigation for "the sake of his career", prompting him to quit his job altogether. Marcus and Naomi Walters wouldn't let that happen and hatch a plan which appears to go horribly wrong.

Viewers weren't too happy with tonight's episode and complained that it lacked excitement. Taking to social media, they voiced their discontent.

@Bufferb2012 posted: "After the superb acting, storyline and performances on #happyvalley last night 2 the reality of the s*** of #emmerdale and #corrie tonight."

@Chris1968E commented: "Emmerdale they're really pushing the good ship ridiculous out with this Greg, Marcus, Ethan story. Biggest thing is who actually thought this worthy of broadcast."

@PJDavies1962 wrote: "Wow! What a gripping episode of #emmerdale said no-one."

@memesEmmerdale fumed: "What a load of nonsense!! See you all tomorrow #Emmerdale."

And @MattZeeMiller tweeted: "Just watched Emmerdale not fan of these Corrie hours soooo. Wouldn't it work better if @emmerdale was at 7.30 then followed by half hour of @itvcorrie at 8 for 5 nights a week Monday to Friday, Vera and Midsomer Murders could fit at 8.30 or entertainment. Hint hint @ITV."
