Emmerdale's latest character Suni Sharma made his debut on the ITV soap this week, and fans are already convinced they have rumbled a new twist.
Fans are convinced there could be more to his arrival and a possible secret link between him and his cousin Jai Sharma, following a recent DNA bombshell.
Shortly before Suni arrived in the village, Jai was left reeling to discover an adoption letter confirmed his father Rishi was not his biological dad.
Jai is yet to find out what happened all those years ago with his mother Georgia, and Rishi, remaining quiet on the matter. He has not been told who his real father is and why he isn't part of his life.
Amid viewer theories over what happened between his mother and father, Rishi has told Jai he kept quiet for so long for his benefit - but Jai is shunning the character, unable to forgive him.
Now, fans are questioning if the arrival of relative Suni will be tied into the storyline, and whether a big twist is on the way. Suni shocked his uncle Rishi with his arrival recently, while he's headed to the village for Jai's looming wedding to Laurel Thomas.
Fans took to Twitter after scenes aired of the new character, with many speculating he might secretly be the half-brother of Jai, and not his cousin.
There has been nothing said to suggest this will be the case by the ITV soap, but it hasn't stopped fans predicting another DNA bombshell is on the way as Jai's father could finally be revealed.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "So this is the new Sharma is it-How long do we give it before he and Jai are revealed as brothers rather than cousins?!"
The theory was agreed by other viewers too, with one fan writing: "Are Suni and Jai really brothers", as another said: "I thought that.... :)." A further tweet suggesting the twist read: "The new character will end up being Jai’s half brother and Rishi’s brother Jai’s real dad..."
It follows the announcement that Jai's mother Georgia will return to the soap for the first time in years as part of the new storyline, while the role has been recast.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
