Emmerdale viewers have predicted a major baby twist for Belle Dingle on the ITV soap.
The show's bosses recently confirmed a new baby would arrive in time for their 50th anniversary, while it isn't known which character will soon discover they are pregnant.
Viewers have been trying to work out who it might be, and who is likely to fall pregnant soon.
Now, many fans have predicted it could be Belle who soon learns she is expecting a child, after her recent romance with Ellis Chapman.
With Ellis reportedly leaving the village soon, fans think she might find out she is carrying his baby after he has left.
Ellis actor Aaron Anthony reportedly quit the show last year after bosses launched a race probe against two of its biggest stars.
His exit is yet to be confirmed, while new spoilers for next week hint at big news for the character amid drama with Belle.
Taking to Twitter, viewers predicted Belle will be the character welcoming a new bundle of joy later this year.
One fan said: "If Belle gets pregnant, then I hope they don't ignore her mental health issues."
Another said: "Belle? Ellis is on his way out. They seem to be rekindling things. Is Ellis about to die as Belle gets pregnant?!"
A third commented: "Yes I’m here for Belle getting pregnant she needs another storyline and she will make an amazing mum."
Show bosses recently teased there could soon be another character in the Dales, aligning with their special month of celebrations in October to mark the ITV soap's 50th birthday.
However, they have refused to divulge yet who the baby may belong to.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, executive producer Jane Hudson teased: "There will be a new baby arriving in Emmerdale before the end of the year.
"I think that's not giving anything away as there are so many female characters in the show, but there will be a new arrival before the year is out. There's probably going to be a birth in the anniversary month perhaps!
"Babies in soaps are either born on programme celebrations or Christmas so there's going to be one of those happening."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
