Emmerdale viewers fume over ITV advert break as they spot on set blunder

Emmerdale fans were not impressed as they tuned into the ITV soap on Friday night.

The latest instalment of the much-loved show was barely on for five minutes before an advert break arrived.

On Fridays the soap is on for 30 minutes from 7:30pm until 8pm, but many moaned that five minutes does not count as a first half.

Taking to Twitter, one person asked: "Why is there adverts after 5 minutes #Emmerdale."

Another posted: "Ad breaks after 5 mins again #Emmerdale," while a third added: "#Emmerdale Well that was a short first half."

Someone else commented: "Only been on 5 minutes and an ad already! #Emmerdale," while another added: "That was all of 5 mins for part one #Emmerdale."

Before the show went to an early advert break, Dawn Taylor was seen panicking when she realised her late friend's daughter had run out of the house.

Dawn was explaining to Harriet that Clemmie's mum Beth had died, but when the youngster overheard, she decided to leave.

When Dawn heard the door slam, she and Harriet quickly ran into the living room and then outside - but Clemmie was nowhere to be seen.

Dawn rescued her late best friend's daughter named Clemmie but she was then taken away by social services (ITV)

Emmerdale viewers found it impossible that a young child could have ran so quickly and not be in sight.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: "#Emmerdale There's no way she'd has gone that far in a couple of seconds. Dawn should've called social services straight away. Bloody idiot!"

Another joked: "Didn't realise Clemmie is an Olympic sprinter #emmerdale."

Someone else mocked: "Holy sh*t, Clemmie can teleport."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
