Emmerdale 's Nicky Milligan has been having doubts over his father Caleb's revenge plan but the arrival of his mother, whose identity has been kept secret so far, may change his mind.
In recent scenes, Caleb, played by William Ash, revealed Nicky's mother was part of the motivation for his revenge plan against Kim Tate (Claire King).
Nicky (Lewis Cope) has been struggling with the lies his father has forced him to tell and begged him to "walk away" from his obsession with getting revenge on Kim but he refused.
"Think about your mum. Do you really want her ending up out on the street because of you?" Caleb insisted. "Kim killed my dad, your granddad… We are going to make her pay!"
Emmerdale fans suspect Nicky's mother may be revealed to be the iconic Sadie King, played by Patsy Kensit and could soon make an appearance in the village.
Sharing a theory in an Emmerdale forum, one Reddit user said: "So Caleb is the son of Faith Dingle and Frank Tate, his son is Nicky, whose mother we don’t know yet. My suspicion is that Nicky’s mother is Sadie King.
"Then maybe we can finally have that Kim vs Sadie showdown we were promised back in the early 00s. It’ll also be a cool way to have Nicky be a Dingle, Tate and King."
Another agreed: "I thought about Sadie King too which be interesting since she has a history with Cain also and people in the village too and imagine if she feuds with Kim Tate.
"And, since Patsy Kensit has recently had a role in EastEnders she [might] be down for a return to Emmerdale. Just like the actress who plays Kim Tate was on Corrie for a bit and then returned to Emmerdale. I got a feeling it got to be someone who has ties to the village."
Sadie King, who was married to Jimmy King and involved in a feud with Charity Dingle, appeared in the show from 2004 to 2006.
Meanwhile, Nicky is struggling with lying to fianceé Gabby Thomas ( Rosie Bentham ) as viewers will know it was confirmed the nanny is gay after he met ex-lover Ally (Josh Horrocks) before spending the night with him.
Caleb has no idea about his son's sexuality but it's clear Nicky isn't coping with hurting Gabby and keeping his relationship with his dad secret.
