Emmerdale fans are convinced Sam Dingle may survive his brush with death despite him being in a bad way, with speculation another family member will instead lose their life.
As the deadly storm continued to leave lives on the line, many residents were headed for the hospital - with two deaths now confirmed.
Liv Flaherty died following an accident when she was crushed by a caravan, while Harriet Finch lost her life following a quad bike crash and an explosion.
Another character is now gravely ill though, with his fate not known after he was dashed to hospital by his sister Belle Dingle, and his nephew Nate Robinson.
Sam and Nate were caught up in a cow stampede over at the farm, which led to Nate falling over and being caught between the cows.
He was injured, while it is not known to which extent, but he was up and about in the latest episode.
The same could not be said for Sam though, who was impaled on a spike attached to a tractor in his bid to flee the cows.
Nate managed to free his injured uncle in the latest episode, sawing the spike off of the vehicle so that he was no longer attached.
Sam lost consciousness though, with Belle and Nate racing him to the hospital where he was rushed in for surgery.
Something Belle told his wife Lydia though left Sam's fate up in the air, and teased he might die.
She spilled: "They rushed him into theatre. We tried everything we could but there was just so much blood. We're not sure he’s gonna make it."
As Lydia sobbed into Belle's arms, it appeared she might be about to lose Sam for good.
But viewers are convinced it's Nate who might end up losing his life, after hints he might be worse off than he thinks.
Despite him brushing off the incident with the cows and racing to help Sam, Nate has been shown in pain and holding an injury that appears to be on his side or his ribs.
When asked by Belle and Lydia on separate occasions if he was okay, he said that he was fine - including after arriving at the hospital.
Lydia said he looked in bad shape and wanted to make sure he had been checked over, but Nate said they were not there for him, as if he hadn't been seen to and wasn't planning on it.
This left fans convinced that Nate was going to collapse and possibly die in a tragic twist after saving Sam.
One viewer tweeted: "I think Nate might coz he’s not getting checked x."
Another said: "Theory think Nate will die saving Sam with him having broken ribs wonder if his lung puncture or got internal bleeding."
A third added: "I think Nate is going to die (possibly from internal injuries)."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
