Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has been forced to involve police after being sent a raft of sickening abusive and homophobic messages.
The messages, sent in private messages on Twitter, contained several horrific death threats and a homophobic slur, including the words 'die die die' and 'burn in hell'.
Michelle also tweeted to say that the police have been informed after the same account sent more abuse later.

As fans know, Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in Emmerdale, returned to the programme in December after maternity leave.
In 2020, Michelle, 45, who is in a relationship with wife Kate Brooks, gave birth to her baby boy, Teddy, who the abusive troll even mentioned in their sick messages.
Now Michelle has confirmed the DMs are being forwarded to the police after the same account came back under a different name and sent her more abuse.
She added: The account has changed its user name and sent me even more vile messages today that I won’t put on here. Police are being informed."
Emmerdale co stars and fans alike rushed to throw their support behind Michelle.
Lydia Dingle actress Karen Blick said: "Oh my word Michelle how vile. Thank goodness you are a strong, kind, wise women. Lots a love darling.
Co-star Mark Charnock added: "You know how many people love you and have your back. You’ve already won because you have love. Xxx"
And fans also rushed to back Michelle.
