Hayley Tamaddon has announced that she's parted ways from fiancé Adrian who she shares her son with.
The soap star let her fans know that she's now experiencing life as a single mum as she celebrates her first Mother's Day without the father of her child.
The actress, 45, quickly got engaged to estate agent beau Adrian within weeks of announcing her pregnancy in 2019.
Taking to Instagram, Hayley shared a picture of herself and her little boy Jasper with her 54k followers.
Although she talked about how her life had been 'turned upside down', the two are happily smiling in the post.
She captioned the image: "Happy Mother’s Day… [red heart emoji]
"I’ve not posted in a long time, but I thought today was a good time to tell you all, before you hear about it or see it elsewhere..
"This Mother’s Day is different for me, as I’m now a single mum.
"Mine and jaspers life has been turned upside down over the past few months.. but I realise the best thing to come out of this is Jasper. For he is all I need.. and all I’ve ever wanted. He makes me so happy!"
Although the circumstances were not planned, Hayley continued saying that she feels lucky to be in her position.
She wrote: "I never set out to be a single parent.. but I DID set out to be the best mum I could be, and that hasn’t changed.
"I’m so lucky I get to be his mummy. And I’m very proud of myself for overcoming the many obstacles I’ve faced since he was born.
"To any other single mamas out there.. I salute you. Have the most wonderful day!"
Friends and fans rushed to the comment section to offer Hayley support and wish her a happy Mother's Day as she faces it alone for the first time.
Fellow Coronation Street actress Sally Ann Matthews wrote: "He’s the luckiest boy in the world to have you as his mummy. You are MORE than enough. I love you so much, you fearless, strong, brave, beautiful, talented bundle of gorgeousness. Have a wonderful day! x"
Another follower said: "Happy Mothering Sunday to you Hayley. Jasper will always know you are there for him- you are a great mum. Sending so much love your way."
While a third wrote: "Well there’s one happy little boy, you should be so proud, happy Mother’s Day."
Hayley and Adrian had a friendship spanning five years before things turned romantic, leading to the birth of their son.
Speaking about her now ex, Hayley previously said: "[We grew up on the] same street, we went to the same school.
"His gran knew my mum, we lived 10 doors apart and 30 years later I needed an estate agent and it happened to be him.
"We couldn’t believe it at the time, and then were friends for five years, and five years later we found ourselves both single. He was just this nice guy."
