Emmerdale airs a return of sorts next week for one character, five months after they ran away from the village following a betrayal.
Kerry Wyatt makes a brief comeback next week according to spoilers, following her daughter Chloe Harris giving birth to a baby boy.
She appears via a video call to speak with Chloe and meet the baby, at a time where Chloe is struggling with motherhood.
This is the first time Kerry has been onscreen since her sudden departure in November, after she learned her partner Al Chapman was cheating on her.
Al was killed off in October, and just weeks later Kerry learned of his betrayal - while she didn't find out at the time that Chas Dingle was the mystery woman.
Next week, Amy Wyatt is trying to help her sister Chloe as she struggles with baby Reuben.
Kerry soon calls her daughter to check in and manages to talk her daughter round, amid her doubts about being a mum.
Amy is relieved her mum’s got through to her sibling, but what will Chloe decide?
Actress Laura Norton, who plays Kerry, is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her second child in October.
It hasn't been confirmed just yet when Laura will reprise her role, while Chloe is currently at the centre of a huge storyline involving Mackenzie Boyd.
Kerry isn't the only return airing next week on the soap, as a former villain rejoins the show 10 years after their exit.
It was recently revealed that killer Carl King's son, formerly known as Thomas, was heading back to the village - and this has now been confirmed.
New spoilers reveal the moment Tom is first seen in the village he once called home, a decade on from his exit.
At the time, Tom fled the village after landing himself in trouble while he was dating Belle Dingle - only for it all to end in tears.
Troubled Belle had planned to run away with her boyfriend, but he decided to go alone and left her behind.
Around 10 years on, the exes come face-to-face again next week and are stunned to be reconnected with each other.
According to the spoilers, Belle is being watched by a mystery figure before she bumps into him and realises it's Tom.
They soon begin flirting as they catch up, and they decide to meet up for a drink ahead of a new romance for Belle.
It comes as soap boss Jane Hudson told The Mirror that Tom's return would see him rekindle things with Belle, and that there were new stories ahead for them.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
