Emmerdale 's Leyla Harding heads into dangerous territory next week when she considers blackmailing Suzy Merton.
New ITV spoilers reveal that Leyla's drug habit could be exposed as it continues to spiral out of control.
It all starts when Jai Sharma's old dealer finds Leyla at Take A Vow, leaving her surprised.
She’s tempted when he offers her a deal on some cocaine, and despite feeling guilty about taking it, she manages to hide the two bags of coke from an oblivious Suzy (Martelle Edinborough).
Later on at the Hide, a coked-up Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) offers to pay for everyone’s food as a suspicious Suzy looks on, aware that Leyla is acting out of character.
Suzy chastises Leyla for her drug use, but despite feeling judges, Leyla defends her acts, triumphant that she’s getting away with it again.
Meanwhile, a concerned Jai returns Leyla's lost card to her and after witnessing this, Leyla’s dealer senses an opportunity to get Jai back in his books, and blackmails Leyla into being involved.
The drug dealer offers her an ultimatum; persuade Jai back into the fold or he’ll cut her off from buying any cocaine in the future.
A stunned Leyla doesn’t have time to decide before her husband Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) arrives.
Later on, Suzy recognises the dealer from yesterday and orders him to leave Take A Vow, leaving an agitated Leyla without a source of coke.
Leyla is raging and blames Suzy for getting rid of her only coke supply, and when she refuses to give Leyla the phone number of her own dealer, Leyla brings up the death of Holly Barton.
Suzy is horrified as the idea of blackmail enters an opportunistic Leyla’s mind.
When threatened with the idea of Moira finding out about her daughter Holly, Suzy is left reeling and begrudgingly hands over her dealer’s number and vows that the two of them are done.
There’s a flicker of regret from Leyla before she calls the number to put an order in. But unbeknownst to Leyla, Liam is pondering her recent mood swings and comes to a conclusion.
Will the village doctor discover that his wife is hooked on drugs? Or will Leyla come to her senses and try and kick the habit for good?
