Emmerdale spoilers: Jai and Kim battle out over sacking workers

Emmerdale fans will know that the popular ITV soap has been shaken up since Survival Week last year. This saw a whole host of dramatic events as murderous Meena (Paige Jutla) created a trail of trouble.

The drama continues as Emmerdale's producers have revealed that Jai (Chris Bisson) and Kim (Claire King) are set to go head to head. Episodes in Emmerdale this week so far have seen Kim tell Jai to sack the majority of the workers at the Hide and rehire them on zero-hour contracts.

This leaves Jai between a rock and a hard place as many of the workers are his friends and he, therefore, does not want to fire them. But at the same time, he is also aware that without his job, things could end up getting dramatically worse.

Upcoming scenes are set to see Kim shocked to find out that Jai decides to stick with the staff by protesting outside the HOP. However, being the determined force that she is, this doesn’t stop Kim from demoting Jai until he solves the situation with the workers.

Kim and Jai will go head to head when Kim implores him to get the staff back inside to work after she sees that the protest is putting off customers. Jai, however, doesn’t exactly give Kim the reaction she was hoping for, or even expected from him.

Is Jai prepared to put his job at risk for the sake of helping the employees and his friend's jobs at the Hide? Will his decision lead to a destructive backfire from his boss, Kim?

Emmerdale fans will know that Kim is a strong-willed woman who has been involved in many dramatic storylines in her history on the soap. So reacting in a destructive way is not exactly out of character for her.

Emmerdale airs on ITV Monday to Friday
