Emmerdale will see a brush with death, a potential exit and more details about a new arrival next week.
It's been a dramatic few weeks in the Dales, and it looks like things could be getting even more tense next week as villain Alex is left for dead after a dramatic hit and run as he continues to try and steal drugs from the village surgery.
Elsewhere, Samson continues to cause trouble for Amelia Spencer and Noah Dingle and a betrayal by the teenager could lead to an exit, whilst Chloe has got some news about the baby's gender for Mack and Caleb finally exposes Nicky and Gabby's romance.
Alex left for dead
Evil Alex's reign of terror over Emmerdale could be coming to an end - as he is left for dead next week.
Alex will anger the Dales residents, particularly vicar Charles when his scheming is unveiled on the ITV soap next week. It has been confirmed he wants to steal drugs from Dr Manpreet Sharma's pharmacy and that is why he's wanted to get closer to Naomi. There is, in fact, no romantic connection between them - at least in Alex's eyes.
Clare, meanwhile, is putting the pressure on Alex to continue with his plan to break into the surgery but he is left horrified when the drugs cabinet is empty. He reassures Clare that he will find a way and the next day, he makes a plan to steal from the delivery van.
He manages to steal all the drugs from it, but Charles catches him. Alex is later seen standing by the side of the road, receiving a call from Clare, when a car comes by and hits him as he steps out into the road.
He lies lifeless on the floor, whilst a figure walks towards him before running away.
Chloe drops baby bombshell
Emmerdale's Chloe Harris and Mackenzie Boyd will find out about the gender of their baby next week. The pair slept together last summer and Chloe fell pregnant with his baby, and she decided to go ahead with the pregnancy.
A handful of villagers know about the baby and Mack, while one only knows that Mack slept with someone else. Nate gets a hunch Mackenzie cares more for Chloe and the baby than he is admitting to, as Mack is still downplaying his involvement in their lives.
While he has told Chloe he will support her and the child it seems he plans to do this from a distance, avoiding telling Charity the truth. Chloe drops some news about their baby, confirming that they are expecting a boy and Mackenzie is stunned.
Conflicted over his feelings, there’s a charged moment between the two as Mackenzie feels the baby kicking.
Emmerdale exit 'sealed'
Samson Dingle could be forced to leave the village as he goes too far with his evil plan, and betrays one of his own. The character has been trying to prove himself recently, after disappointing his loved ones regarding his baby daughter Esther.
Samson slept with fellow teen Amelia last year and she fell pregnant with his child, before giving birth in October. He refused to have anything to do with his child or helping to raise her, even though his parents wanted to be involved.
This week, and for the third time, Samson will ask for yet more money if Noah wants him to keep a distance - despite him actually spending more time with the baby. He's betraying the pair by faking wanting a relationship with his daughter in a cruel twist.
An incident sees Esther rushed to hospital though while in Samson's care, and he gets praised by his loved ones for acting quickly.
After some more money from Noah, Samson heads off as Charity Dingle questions son Noah for making the comment, and he is forced to confess that the inheritance has gone and he’s being blackmailed by Samson. He is soon confronted from all angles by his angry friends and family as the truth comes out, and his family are disgusted with him.
Elsewhere, Caleb rumbles a relationship between Nicky and Gabby after he catches them getting intimate in the kitchen.
