A much-loved couple elope as they plan to wed, while news of a death leaves one character faced with having to tell a shocking truth.
Meena revenge fallout
Little is known about what exactly happens this week or next with Meena, but there will no doubt be an aftermath to all of the scenes.
The village will be in shock over recent events, while the police are back in the Dales.
With lives on the line, and still plenty of twists and turns ahead, next week will see residents processing what went on.
Chloe betrays Noah
Noah Dingle will be left devastated next week when he finds out that Chloe Harris has spent the night with Jacob Gallagher.
New ITV spoilers reveal that one thing leads to another when Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) asks Chloe (Jessie Elland) to spend the night with him because he doesn't want to be alone.
Chloe agrees but the next day she's left feeling fed up when Jacob regrets what happened between him and her during their sleepover.
Later that day when Noah (Jack Downham) comes out of the cafe, Kerry Wyatt deduces that Chloe was with him all night and lectures him, but Noah’s left feeling puzzled.
Then at Keepers, Noah’s thrown when Chloe tells him that she slept with Jacob the night before.
After heading to the shop, an angry Noah confronts Jacob over sleeping with Chloe - but she later decides to apologise to Noah herself.
Will the pair manage to patch things up? Or will this leave a dent on their relationship and prompt Noah to move on?
Vinny and Liv elope
Liv Flaherty and Vinny Dingle will go to extreme lengths next week to seal their love for one another.
New ITV spoilers reveal that the young couple could go ahead with their secret wedding - which could end up leaving Mandy Dingle fuming.
Liv (Isobel Steele) is super excited when Vinny (Bradley Johnson) tells her that he has a friend of a friend in Daventry who is a registrar and willing to bend the rules slightly.
With Mandy (Lisa Riley) is still in the dark about their engagement, they joke about what she’d do to them if she found out after they got married.
The next day, Liv feels guilty about their secret plan when their wedding bands arrive.
She and Vinny are certainly excited about their big day but conceal their doubts from each other about not telling their family.
But it seems they could be getting hitched sooner than they thought as Vinny informs Liv that a spot has opened up and asks if she wants to get married the following day.
Later on in the Hide, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is excited when Vinny and Liv tell her that they’ve cancelled their elopement.
The pair suddenly wonder how they're going to get out of a hole they’ve dug when Chas and Mandy arrive having heard the backend of their conversation.
After witnessing the drama caused at Chas’ small birthday lunch, Vinny and Liv wonder how they’re going to tell their family and finally settle on a decision.
So instead they pack their overnight bags as they make their way to Daventry, but the Dingles start to worry when they find the pair have gone missing.
Vinny’s torn when he sees several messages left on his phone by mum Mandy, but will it be enough for him to change his mind and not go ahead with the wedding?
Death news
Emmerdale residents will learn of Pierce Harris’s death in upcoming scenes on the soap, after his son Marcus Dean made a surprise return to the village.
ITV spoilers have revealed that news of the abuser's death spreads on the soap after it is reported on in the local newspaper the Hotten Courier.
Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) was left shocked when she learnt that her former husband Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) had died in jail, while serving time for raping her and killing her boyfriend Graham Foster.
In upcoming scenes of the soap next week, Rhona's partner Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) spots the news of Pierce's death in the Hotten Courier.
Unaware that Rhona already knows her attacker died behind bars, Marlon readies himself to break the news to her.
In later scenes, Rhona and Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) tell Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Marlon that they already knew Pierce is dead.
But Rhona admits she’s uneasy about sharing the full story with Marlon and doesn't mention Pierce's son Marcus.
So will she reveal all, or will Marcus' arrival do that for her?
