Jai Sharma is set to be left heartbroken in Emmerdale next week when he discovers a secret that will rock his relationship with his dad, Rishi. This week, viewers will see Jai and his partner Laurel worried that they could not afford to visit Australia which results in friction under their roof.
But next week in the ITV soap, when Jai makes a mistake whilst booking a holiday on a website it gives Laurel an idea. Thinking it's a sign that he booked the honeymoon suite instead of an apartment for the whole family, Laurel soon gets down on one knee and asks Jai to marry her.
With her proposal delightfully accepted they soon happily discuss the correct order to tell people their news. Jai realises he needs to retrieve his divorce certificate so heads to find his legal documents.
