Emmerdale's Dawn Taylor has already suffered enough drama to last a lifetime, but it seems things aren't going to improve for her any time soon.
New ITV spoilers reveal that next week won't be great for the newlywed as she suffers more trouble with her ex Alex Moore (Liam Boyle).
It all starts when her new husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) broaches the subject of adopting Dawn's son Lucas.
Although Dawn (Olivia Bromley) is thrilled by Billy’s commitment to her son, she’s nervous about the inevitable interaction with Lucas’ biological dad, Alex.
But she decides to ignore her concerns by taking the first step in the adoption process and then texts Alex.
The following day, after getting no response from Alex, Dawn and Billy drive to his house and nervously broach the subject of Billy adopting Lucas with an unreadable Alex.
Initially incensed by the idea, Alex eventually accepts Billy and Dawn’s adoption proposal - but all is not what it seems.
Later on in the evening, Alex appears ominously from out of the dark and pulls up outside Woodbine and Dawn knows something is up.
Secretly meeting him outside, Dawn’s worries are realised when Alex demands that she deal drugs for him in order to pay off his debts in return for consenting to Lucas’ adoption
Dawn hides Alex’s blackmail from a wary Harriet and Billy, but struggles to share in their excitement over the adoption.
Under immense pressure, Dawn’s deceit ramps up a notch when she attempts to steal from Home Farm in order to pay Alex’s debts. But what will happen when she’s caught red-handed by Kim Tate?
With the walls closing in around her, Dawn makes one final call before accompanying Alex.
Trapped, Dawn realises that her task may be more dangerous than she originally thought when she meets Alex’s dealer.
Just as the meeting concludes, the trio are interrupted by a police car and Dawn ends up being guided into the back of it.
Has Alex set her up on purpose? And will Billy stand by his new wife when he finds out what she's been up to?
