Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has announced the arrival of a new character next week.
The actress, best known for portraying Mandy Dingle on the soap, said she was happy that her "good friend" Sally Bankes would be joining the cast for episodes on February 6 and 7. Sally worked as a bank manager for over two decades before becoming a professional actress and has featured in shows such as Little Britain and Coronation Street.
Sally, from Lancashire, will play a "very funny, comedic character" and is sure to turn Bear Wolf's head. Taking to social media, Lisa announced the news to her fans on Tuesday, January 31.

It comes after it was announced that Laura Norton would soon return to the show. Laura, who plays Kerry Wyatt, left Emmerdale in November to go on maternity leave.
Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has also teased that he is “coming back”. Kevin, who played Andy Sugden, exited the show in 2016 after 20 years.
