Emmerdale fans will see the soap’s younger generation come to the fore in 2023, according to the show’s boss.
In recent weeks, Emmerdale executive producer Jane Hudson has teased fans of the ITV soap with what they can expect in the coming 12 months. One exciting aspect will see some of Emmerdale’s younger acting talent given a chance to shine.
Speaking at a press event, Jane explained: “A lot of our youngsters have got stories coming up. You get to an age with our young cast where you suddenly realise they are growing up. They’ve been off-screen for a few weeks and then they reappear a foot taller and their voice is deeper. Then you are left going ‘oh my gosh, we need to start growing them up in the show’. I think for Rosie (Bentham), who plays Gabby, we kept her at 15 for about three years and then she eventually went ‘you do know my character is 18?’
