Former Emmerdale favourite Mike Parr has reflected on the acting roles he’s missed out on since his soap exit.
Mike Parr, 36, was popular with fans of Emmerdale during his stint as Ross Barton between 2013 and 2018. As our colleagues at the Daily Star report, the acting star left the soap to pursue a career in Hollywood.
Although, in a honestly blunt admission on Instagram Mike has opened up on the brutal realities of the acting world - as he reflected on the previous 12 months. Mike posted: “Acting - 2022. Jobs I’ve taped for, jobs I’ve had, jobs I’ve lost, jobs I wanted, jobs I got.

“It’s a funny old game but there’s nothing else I’d rather do.” He then continued: “2022. Highs, lows, blows, judo throws. Love, hate, tears and beers. Cocktails, epic fails, some sorrow, some ‘I’ll see you tomorrow’.
“We’ve lost family, we’ve gained friends… who knows where it’ll end?” Since leaving Emmerdale, Mike has held various roles in various films and TV shows, including appearing in Mister Mayfair, Bulletproof and Colosseum.
