Emmerdale's Meena Jutla finally got her day in court as she revealed her pleas to the 18 charges.
The serial killer's pre-court trial hearing aired during tonight's episode of the ITV soap, and she was shocked to find barely anyone was there when she arrived in court to see just Liam and Leyla Cavanagh and Manpreet Sharma and Charles Anderson there.
Looking back at the public gallery, she was surprised that it was so empty in the court, as the clerk read the different charges to her. The lengthy list included the murders of Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh as well as the kidnapping and attempted murder of her own sister Manpreet, who was sat in the gallery above her.
As the first charges were read out, Meena was asked how she pleads to the attempted murder and kidnap of her sister. "My lord, my plea is guilty. I am guilty," she told the court and the judge as the residents behind her breathed a sigh of relief.
She was then asked how she pleads to the attempted murder of Leyla, which she pleaded guilty to, but when quizzed about the murder of Ben Tucker - who she killed after slamming an oar down on his head - she gave it a not guilty plea.
The charges continued to roll and she, again, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Andrea.
"Why not? You've admitted to everything else," Leyla fumed at her as she was ordered to be kept quiet.
Meena then turned around to look at Liam before answering the court clerk about her plea in the case of Leanna's murder. When she said she wasn't guilty, Leyla stood up and fumed at the prisoner.
"Why don't you just admit it? Why don't you admit it? She did and she killed all of them," she said angrily, as Liam begged her to stop. Angry, the judge ordered them to clear the public gallery and Liam stormed out.
In a final moment before being taken back to her cell, Meena stopped on the steps and winked at her sister Manpreet.
Back outside the court, Liam was left fuming by Meena's three not guilty pleas.
"I knew it, I told you this would happen. Did you know she was planning to do that?" he said, "Do you know she was setting us up for a fall? She's not only ruined my life, she has to rub salt in the wound.
"I need justice for my daughter, I need closure. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get it."
